Chapter History

In the Spring of 1993 Lambda Theta Alpha's first Graduate Chapter was established in New Jersey by:

Linda Diaz
Johanna Velez-Yelin.

The chapters' purpose was to provide an avenue where ladies who were pursuing their Masters Degree could be given the opportunity to join a sorority. Its goal was to provide services to the undergraduate chapters, such as educational workshops and mentoring.
Linda and Johanna were advisors to undergraduate chapters of Lambda Theta Alpha. Having devoted much time and commitment to the sorority, Linda and Johanna grew to love it as their own. In the Spring of 1993, Alpha Alpha Graduate Chapter was established by these two highly motivated individuals. Since its inception six more graduate chapters have been established - Alpha Beta Graduate Chapter in Connecticut, Alpha Gamma Graduate Chapter in Texas, Alpha Delta Graduate Chapter in Maryland, Alpha Epsilon Graduate Chapter in New York, Alpha Zeta Graduate Chapter in Florida, and Alpha Eta Graduate Chapter in California
